  • Monica Wang

    Lab Technician II

Hi, I’m Xiaoran (Monica)! I grew up in China and studied Biology at University of Colorado Denver before moving to St. Louis. I’m also working on a Master’s degree in Data Analytics, hoping to bring together my lab skills and a love for bioinformatics.

Outside the lab, you’ll find me playing video games or hitting the road for a scenic drive.

  • Diego Orellana

    Rotation student

Hey, I'm Diego. I've lived my whole life around California (LA, SB, and SF), but have come to Missouri to pursue a PhD in Microbiology. I discovered my passion for research in a plant genetics lab, and I now have a keen interest in enteric pathogens and the microbiome.

Outside of lab, I enjoy playing video games, going on long walks around the city, and exploring new restaurants!
